Poster Contest Results Announced!

In February 2004 Rose City Copwatch held a contest offering $40 in groceries to the first person who could provide a verifiable photograph of killer cop Scott McCollister.

The community response was overwhelming and we received numerous tips leading to a few photos. The groceries were awarded to an anonymous tipster and the photo is available on this website.

In the meantime, Officer Jason Sery shot and killed James Jahar Perez, an unarmed African-American motorist, for failing to signal. On Sunday, April 11, 2004, Rose City Copwatch distributed over 1,000 posters in North and Northeast Portland featuring photos of both McCollister and Sery.
