"Brains & Bones: Trivia, Dominoes and DJs"On Sunday, August 20th, 2006, Rose City Copwatch hosted an evening of trivia, dominoes, and DJs at the Red and Black Cafe in Portland. The event was a benefit for Rose City Copwatch. Trivia players showed off their knowledge about who played Ponch on CHiPs, what local scandal started when off-duty Portland police sported racist t-shirts in 1985, why Lil' Kim was released early, and when the cops need to present a warrant? The game featured topics of local Portland history, police and resistors in pop culture, and your rights as a citizen. A relaxing dominoes tournament followed the trivia, and winners of both contests took home prizes, fame, and the glory of holding the City of Roses title for 'Best in Brains' or 'Best in Bones.' A good time was had by all, and partygoers walked away with facts to help them and their friends stay safe when the blue uniforms come calling! |
