Revolution!PORTLAND – Rose City Copwatch will host a dance party fundraiser Thursday, March 6th, 8:30 p.m., at Branx (320 SE 2nd Ave.). DJ Harmony, the queen of cool, headlines spinning hip-hop, R&B, and international beats, DJ Kinetic throws down songs that make you dance, and the evening kicks off with a set of hot tracks from female MC's at 9:00 p.m. Shake it, socialize, and enter the raffle (1$ per ticket) for exclusive salon cuts, prime roller derby tickets, massages and more. Arrive at 8:30 p.m. for the pre-funk forum on your rights and copwatching; ass-shaking begins at 9:00 p.m.! $5 cover at the door, sliding scale. Rose City Copwatch is a grassroots organization dedicated to shifting the balance of power in our society. Through art and agitation we work to reduce police violence and demonstrate our community's right and ability to hold police directly accountable for their actions.
